Lead Full Stack Developer (2017 - Ongoing) PT
On the side, I develop and maintain a full courier software solution for local St. Albert based courier Fast Forward Express. It's exciting to work on small business software that makes a large impact. This project has been challenging and thoroughly enjoyable as I translated plain English business requirements to a fully fledged software solution including employee payroll, online credit card processing, modular billing, delivery geofencing and much more.

Senior Software Developer (2023)
When looking for my next opportunity, I reached out to previous coworkers and was excited to hear Willowglen had pivoted their pilot software to replace old components, and more importantly to containerize the entire application, allowing it to scale horizontally. I was excited to rejoin as a software application developer, and to be part of such a modernization. I gladly accepted the role, assisting with transition of their proprietary database with Redis, integrating Keycloak containerized for authorization, and improving Agile workflows and developer onboarding.

ProNavigator's goal is to be the "Google for Insurance documents", and I was excited to join their team to expand my Python and React skills, and to focus on development of functional web applications to help end users. My responsibilities included halving deployment times by replacing the routing system, assisting with implementing their new unified UI (React), optimizing user reporting (Datadog), and refactoring their API code to provide a logical base for future development (Python).
